OK, so everyone is up in arms over the words of Obama's "pastor, mentor, and friend" to quote America's favorite bigot, Pat Buchanan from MSNBC this a.m.
I've seen replay after replay on the news the last 24 hours of Wright condemning America. It seems to me that the response to this is rather simple and I show it after the jump.
In case you've been in a cave the last 36 hours, here's a clip of some of the statements (along with lots of blowhard analysis).
Now, if you seek out the other videos of Rev. Wright and his fiery sermons, I'm sure you'll find things that could be considered hyperbole. But you will also find truths about the continuing inequalities of being black in white America.
It seems to me that the response to all this Pastor Wright brouhaha is rather simple. Obama should come right out and ask, "do you believe everything that YOUR pastor says"? When he's confronted by the Faux News people about the so-called "hatred" of his "pastor, mentor, and friend", he should simply ask, "do you think G-d gave America what it deserved on 9/11? Because Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson do."
