Oh, so much handwringing from the Clinton supporters about Michigan and Florida apparently deciding against additional primaries/caucuses. But let's be honest, the Clinton campaign is very pleased about this most recent turn of events.
A "revote" in either Florida or Michigan does not help the Clinton campaign in the one remaining metric they can hang their hat on - and that is this asinine (and somewhat mythical) "popular vote" count. They know that any contests in those states will result in a much closer outcome than the initial votes.
So they need Florida and Michigan seated "as is". It gives the Clinton campaign a small ray of hope in acquiring the popular vote count, and is really the last tool at their disposal to swing the superdelegates. Even seating these delegates based on the prior vote won't get her within pissing distance of the pledged delegate count.
Make no mistake, this is a Hail Mary for the Clinton campaign.
Anyways, my two questions for Hillary or her supporters:
One, did you say the following about Michigan?:
"It's clear, this election they're having is not going to count for anything,"
And two, why didn't YOU advocate for the voters of Florida and Michigan when you agreed to the stipulations that these states' votes would be meaningless?
