Before you tar and feather me, I'm a proud bleeding heart liberal. I have always supported Democratic candidates. I became even more active when Clinton was unfairly impeached. I can't count how many faxes, phone calls, letters and e-mails I've sent whenever I received a call to action. When Al Gore was cheated out of being President, I went crazy: I blogged, I ranted, I phoned, I even put orange ribbons on the trees in my front yard. So yeah, I'm a Democrat through and through.
But I'm sick of this year's race, I'm tired of the candidates, and quite frankly, my family and I don't give a hoot's owl if it's Obama or Hilary. We suffer from ADWD: Any Democrat Will Do.
For months we've watched the pundits and talking heads on CNN, MSNBC, etc. It doesn't seem a like a race to lead our country, but a bloodsport. See Hilary cry! Watch Obama respond to race baiting! And everyone knocking on closet doors to rattle all those skeletons out.
My nadir came when our wonderful Governor, Eliot Spitzer, had to resign for fraternizing with high priced call girls. Behind all the giggles, I was spitting mad, and disgusted. I voted for this moron! But that wasn't all. Our new Governor, Paterson, wasn't in office a day when he admitted that he too had affairs with several women, and so did his wife with other men. The Democrats who were so quick to stab Spitzer in the back are now embracing Paterson despite his revelation...because if he resigns, a Republican would take his place.
So I've had it. I'm tired of the superdelegates, sick of the Cafferty Report, fed up with the TV armchair experts, weary of our national leaders talking about ANYTHING except the issues that are paramount to me, such as health care, our tanking economy, the mortgage mess, the war.
Don't get me wrong. I'll vote for a Democrat in November. Come Obama or Hilary, makes no difference to me.
