Did you know that Oliver North once worked on a plan to suspend the constitution, dissolve congress, and ban all political activities. The scary thing is they were reportedly planning on implementing it if American citizens ever took to the streets in mass protest if it became public knowledge the full extent of their involvement in smuggling Cocaine into the USA to support the Contras. When it finally did become more widely known a full decade had already passed and the GOPS were no longer in power.

I had largely forgotten about this story until I accidently ran across on old box full of NPR (National Public Radio) audio cassettes that date back to the days of Iran Contra. I even used some of it on the YOUTUBE video along with somesome additional material.
Since the mid 1960's high-ranking GOP officials and other right wing elements in our government have had plans to suspend the Constitution and install a FASCIST Military dictatorship. Origins of the right wing coup policy lie in a National contingency plan known the Garden Plot. This was first used by President Lyndon Johnson to suppress race riots after Martin Luther King was assassinated.

I guess in one aspect perhaps FOX NEWS does play a positive role at least it keeps Oliver North busy. If he wasn't employed by them he very well may have been working for this administration in some capacity after all all of his buddies fascist friends currently seem to be.

George W. Bush is the most disastrous president in US history. Not only have we had to suffer through that for 8 years but many of his political appointee's have been linked to drug trafficking dating all the way back to the 1970's. These are the very same people that have been part of every GOP administration since Richard Nixon occupied the White House from 1969-1974. With the exception of the 12 years under Democrat Presidents Carter and Clinton we have been stuck with this group of recycled warmongering dope dealing thugs for the past 40 years.

In early 1987 an unhappy Perot gave an interview to Barron's. There he poured out his frustration over G.M., corporate takeovers and the stock market (which, he insisted months before the crash, had lost touch with reality). He also made.this striking observation:
There are things going on in Washington around this whole Iran arms deal-contra thing. We should have been able to see that coming... long before Reagan was even in the White House .... It is the same team of beautiful people selling arms around the world. This is not a new experience for them to be selling arms at a profit. I mean, some of them got caught once, in Australia [a reference to the collapse of the Nugan Hand Bank, which led to a major investigation by the Australian government]. They got caught again in Hawaii. Edwin Wilson got put in jail. And if you go back and follow the trail, these guys have been working together since the Bay of Pigs. And yet now, suddenly, it is all coming into focus. And we will clean it up.
The bulk of the press never inquired further. Soon thereafter, Perot embarked on his celebrated trip to Vietnam, and pursued a controversial battle with Richard Armirage, a longtime Pentagon official. Armitage, it may be worth recalling, called Perot "a fascist" in the days before he folded his campaign.
The little Texan was now really mad. As he told Bush during a stormy meeting, "Well, George, I am looking for prisoners, but I spend all my time discovering the government has been moving drugs around the world and is involved in illegal arms deals....I can’t get at the prisoners because of the corruption among our own covert people." Perot held the vice president responsible. "This world is full of lions and tigers and rabbits," Perot observed. "And you’re a rabbit."
