From NYTimes:
Obama to Begin Push in Pennsylvania in Hope of Offsetting Clinton Advantages
It started with a concerted voter registration drive that ended on Monday. . . . . The Obama camp has moved to what it calls the persuasion phase of its campaign . . . .
"This is like a symphony," said Clifford Levine, a Pittsburgh lawyer, fund-raiser and chairman of Mr. Obama’s western Pennsylvania steering committee. "You don’t start with a crescendo when you have five weeks. You start with a softer sell. We’ll build things up, and once there’s support and people get to know him, you start in with the big crescendo."
I am REALLY looking forward to the crescendo ...

Bob Casey: "I believe in this guy like I’ve never believed in a candidate in my life."
Mr. Casey said he intended to throw not just his family name into Mr. Obama’s effort but also his political know-how.
"I know a lot about campaigns and a lot about our state," Mr. Casey said.

Obama’s Body Language
Check out this New York Times article about Obama’s appearance on "The View" with Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, and some other women that I don’t know.I have been noticing that Obama’s body language communicates nearly as eloquently as his speeches. He looks confident and athletic, comfortable in his own skin. As the Times has it re: his appearance on "The View," "he mixed a cool and somewhat princely demeanor with warm smiles and touches."
Finally, not exactly about body language, but a huge part of his "charm offensive:"
When interrupted on television , many politicians start talking louder and faster to mow down their opponent’s point. Mr. Obama has a more winning way of encouraging others to speak up. "Go ahead," he told Ms Hasselbeck when she cut him off. "No, no, please," he urged. She did not hold out very long.
This guy is dangerous! Thank goodness he is on the right team.
