This is not Maliki's offensive. This is Dick Cheney's.
If, after eight years of Bushco, you think that something happens "accidentally" with them, that there are just "coincidences" in what they do, well, you need to brush up on the last eight years.
Cheney, and McCain, just went to Iraq (and Saudi Arabia). As their planes are headed back to the United States, suddenly al-Maliki goes on a crazy offensive into Basra, stirring up all kinds of sh*t.
Just as things are really blowing up, McCain makes his big "foreign policy speech".
What is happening in Iraq is all about the campaign, nothing more. It's all about keeping the GOP in power in November. Follow me beyond ...
Even though, at first, it made McCain look like a complete jackass (this was from Wednesday):
Right now, this is being spun as "the Iraqis standing up for themselves." The MSM, doing Bushco's bidding as they always do, is taking the bait and running with it, attaching al-Maliki's name to this offensive (nice term, "offensive") and letting Bushco spin it as "a glorious new example of the Irarqi government taking the fight to the enemy".
You can bet that al-Maliki was ordered to do this -- probably why he's run off to Basra. He's on what's basically a suicide mission -- after finding that horse's head in his bed after Cheney's visit.
Everything these people do -- EVERYTHING -- is political. If we haven't learned THAT much after eight years of watching them, we are fools.
And now, al Sadr, who is smarter than any of them, has come out with an offer to quit fighting IF "our side" quits attacking him and if "we" release political prisoners. Yeah, like that's gonna happen.
But look how the MSM is spinning it already, RIGHT NOW:
Sadr calls on his militia to cease fire
That's the top story on google news right now, as I type this. Here's another from the LA Times:
Muqtada Sadr orders followers to end fighting
and from CNN:
Al-Sadr calls off fighting amid airstrikes, crackdown
Wow! For those Americans who just sort of read the headlines, this looks liike a great victory for Maliki! McCain is right! We CAN win over there! It IS working! Way to kick ass, Iraqis!
Always remember --
- There are no accidents with Bushco.
- There are no coincidences with Bushco.
- Everything they do is political.
- They are so Orwellian and, well, evil, that everything they do at first seems to make absolutely no sense. That is because people like you and me think in terms of common sense, consequences, and truth. They do not. They only think in terms of how they can spread their lies, trick and fool people, and exploit even the most heinous crimes for their own benefit. War is peace. Up is down. Night is day.
Al-Maliki is doing what he was ordered to do. By Cheney. An offer he couldn't refuse. These are assumptions that we should be keeping in mind as we watch these new war crimes unfold.
This is all about keeping the White House for the neo-cons in November.
