Greetings, Gentle Readers and fans of one of the most pollen laden Congressional districts in the state and even the Nation, the beautiful, blooming CA- 04.

This is going to be short.  If you were thinking of donating to the Democratic Candidate with the best chance of winning in the race this fall, Charlie Brown today, March 31, is the deadline for those 1st Quarter Primary donations.

Charlie Brown nearly beat the Republican holding the seat the last time. That guy is so scared he won't run again. Now let's finish the job and do it !  A little update on the Repubs on the flip.

CA -04  Primary Update, or "who's on first..."

I hate linking to SacBee stuff, but sometimes.... so I looked at the list on the Secretary of State's site last night, said WTF?  and started researching.  Then after several hours I see the bleeping SacBee article and they just did a story 3/31/08, or today.  *****. Okay. But I found out that Terbie is being inconsistant, at least. (see previous diary on his DUI arrest I did, click on my name and go back a few)

SacBee link, Race's Colorful fringe

Democrats running:

Charlie Brown, the Actual Progressive Democrat, retired Lt Col USAF, all around good guy

Wolfgram the Libertarian of Forresthill (just go read. Remember, it's not the Onion, it's my Congressional District....)

Republican side of things
"Retiring before he gets indicted"  John Doolittle

Lured into the race from out of District Republicans:

Doug Ose, mini storage Monarch, Real Estate Developer, retired outta a district to the south

Tom McClintock, Southern California state Senator dist 19, "Republican Icon", lives in Elk Grove, runs wherever there's a opening irregardless of location or feasibility.  Charter member of the Flat Earth society, slightly to the right of Attilla the Hun politically.  Termed out of the state offices.  Now must find real job, instead, carpetbags up here. Send Tom home this time.

Theodore Terbolizard, the DJ from Burning Man, Internet Spokesperson, Ron Paul devotee

Suzanne Veronica Jones.

uh, who?

Suzanne Veronica Jones.  She's on the Republican ticket.

Does Suzanne live in the district?  Uh, of course not, she's a Republican. Next question.

Why does Suzanne think she's qualified to be Congressperson Jones of CA- 04 ?

She got a law degree in 2006, she's been a military spouse, she's a Republican. Next question.

You get the idea.  The reason her bio is sorta sketchy is that Suzanne is not mentioning all that time she spent working overseas in .... Saudi Arabia.

Have fun with this.

Enjoy your day.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
