Space Alien Endorses Obama
The Space Alien, an unelected superdelegate, has endorsed Barack Obama for President. The endorsement by the Alien, who had previously back Clinton in his earlier White House run, is seen as a betrayal by the Clinton campaign.
"He's Gaius Baltar," said James Carville. "That's the only explanation. I mean, how do we know Obama's not a Cylon?"

The Obama campaign said a joint appearance is forthcoming, probably late at night in a field or woodland clearing. "We appreciate Space Alien's support," said David Axelrod, "and think this is yet another indication of the diversity of Obama's appeal."
Some Democrats are chafing at the Alien's 2000 endorsement of Bush over Gore, but when asked, Alien said he was under control of a Mylorian Mind-Weapon and did not make the decision himself. When asked how the press knew if he was under control of such a weapon now, perhaps being used by the Obama campaign to ensnare millions of cult-like supporters, the Alien laughed. "If Obama had such a weapon, don't you think he'd use it on Tim Russert?"
It is unclear what impact this endorsement will have on the campaign. It is felt that this would have had more impact prior to the Nevada caucus, given that is the Alien's home state. It is hoped the Alien's appeal in rural areas will have an impact in parts of Pennsylvania and in Indiana.
When asked if this late endorsement were simply positioning, the Alien stated "To be honest, as chief spokesperson for my people, it is important to have good will with the administration. I also have to say, my people have mastered a level of mathematics well-beyond that understood by humans. And in all the levels of complexity in our understanding, I still don't see how Clinton wins the nomination."
