Interesting news coming separately from the chief election officials of these 8 states.
In New York, there were nearly 100,000 affidavit and absentee ballots left uncounted in heavily black areas of the city. Under pressure from Assemblywoman Jenkins charge that "They are stealing this election, " they have finally counted the ballots.
Similar stories are coming from Massachusetts, Tennessee, New Jersey, Arkansas, Texas, Ohio, and New Hampshire.
In short: Senator Clinton's vote was heavily overstated.
Senator Obama's vote, it turns out, was also massively overstated, although not quite by the same margin.
The big beneficiary: none other than the former Senator from the great State of Alaska, Mike Gravel
New delegate totals from these states:
State | Clinton | Obama | Gravel |
Arkansas | 1 | 1 | 33 |
Massachusetts | 7 | 6 | 80 |
New Hampshire | 0 | 0 | 22 |
New Jersey | 5 | 4 | 74 |
New York | 14 | 15 | 203 |
Ohio | 2 | 5 | 119 |
Tennessee | 5 | 6 | 57 |
Texas primary | 3 | 4 | 103 |
Texas Caucus | 0 | 0 | 67 |
These new results have put Senator Gravel into second place with 796 pledged delegates. Senator Clinton trails him with 789 pledged delegates.
Senator Obama leads with 1071 delegates.
However, Senator Gravel says he will do everything he possibly can to stop an Obama nomination.
From the other candidates you hear a lot of fluff, a lot of tiddlywinks. They don’t take names and kick butt. Here comes a politician running a campaign for president saying he is going to heal the country — we’re going to have blue skies and everyone is going to hold hands. That is unadulterated bullshit."
Moreover, Gravel wants to know "Who you gonna nuke, Barack?"
However, there's one thing that Gravel wants even less than an Obama nomination. That would be the nomination of Senator Clinton.
essentially a fig leaf to let George Bush go to war with Iran." Gravel continued, "I am ashamed of you, Hillary, for voting for it.
Instead, in this exclusive interview, he says "You know, they can try their corporate censorship and party censorship, but you can't stop the power of the people. I’m in this all the way to the end, where I expect to win in a Gravelanche."
He also credits hedge fund manager Gregory Chase's million plus independent expenditures
You can view the full interview here.
As to how he plans to win from hereon out without financial resources, Gravel says that's no longer a problem.
He reveals that he's being paid $75 million by Def Jam records in exchange for the rights to his hit single, "Power to the People vs. Give Peace a Chance"
