Not sure that this will be covered on the Cotton News Network or MSGOP but our Christian War Hero Rancher President, has promulagated the FED Stamp program to help rich investors.
Under the FED Stamp program, the preferred stock, debt and convertible debt of selected companies will be guaranteed as to both principal and interest by the American taxpayer.
Those who hate America will surely look askance at a program that uses taxpayer money to shield select investors from losses. Other supporters of Osama bin Laden will impugn the FED Stamp program as a 'bailout' or 'welfare for the rich'.
Indeed, we can be certain that the junior partners of Al Qaeda will point out that it might be considered inappropriate that Lehman Brothers -- a beneficiary of the FED Stamp program -- has hired Jeb Bush as a consultant.
That Lehman hired Gov. Jeb Bush is a tribute to both their business savvy and prescience. Surely a civilized society should not penalize a firm with such acumen.
True the Administration acted with both greater resolve and speed in coming to the rescue of these firms and their investors than it did in responding to the Hurricane Katrina. However, only the politically correct will argue that an Administration must treat the property rights and safety of African Americans with same importance as it gives the assets of rich Caucasian investors.
No one can however doubt the efficiency of the new FED Stamp program. For a mere $30 billion of taxpayer money, President Bush has protected the bond and preferred shareholders of several investment banks and avoided a market collapse that would have endangered the election campaign of John McCain.
The man who served as fighter pilot in Texas during the Vietnam War, who cowered in a bunker on 9/11, who airlifted to safety thousands of Al Qaeda killers from the clutches of the Northern Alliance, and who surrendered to Osama bin Laden has added yet another jewel in his crown --the FED stamp program.
Future generations will scarce believe that such a man was twice elected President of the United States.
