I thought she was one of us, but her Wednesday piece is terrible and making all the rounds.
I read Maureen Dowd religiously and I think she thinks she's giving Obama good advice- to toughen up, but instead she makes him sound like a little boy whose hand needs to be held. What's up with that. Really Maureen, I know he's alot younger than you, but that's no reason to make him sound immature and in need of a grown-up's help. I saw a response to her that said "Too elite, Too effete, Too easy to defeat". That's a terrible image and Maureen's column opened the door to it.
Also, she keeps making him sound weak and inexperienced. That's ridiculous. I know she's been around the block alot, but she relly doesn't get Obama. I think she's desperte to glom onto him, after all she's way over fifty, isn't she? But that's fine. Glom on, but stop making him sound too soft and weak, which her column did.I kow this endless campaign has been hard on him, but I'm sure he's not defeated by it.
