Yesterday, mcjoan was kind enough to front-page our first quarter fundraising results. That won’t stop us from logging on to share the news ourselves!
We’re the talk of the town in Nebraska. Newspapers from Omaha to Beatrice and from Sioux City to Lincoln report that we’ve got the momentum. The Columbus Telegram, our opponent’s home town paper, told its readers in no uncertain terms: "Kleeb Leads Fundraising Race Over Raimondo."
You got us here. You helped us to raise $274,454 to our opponent’s $172,000. Our opponent loaned himself $100,000 of that total, which means that you won by $200,000!
Thank you for your sacrifice. Thank you for your support. Thank you for your willingness to work hard to change our country.
Now the bad news...
Our opponent is already on TV. He says he will spend $500,000 of his own money. We’re still four weeks away from the May 13th primary and we need to press hard until the buzzer sounds. We won’t get away with anything less.
Will you lend your support to our $50,000 in 5 days challenge? Late last week, we launched this effort to compete with our opponent’s TV campaign. As you can see from the graphic below, we still need your help.
We’ll update this diary to share our progress over the next 24 hours -- our final push. Even the smallest contribution helps us take your message to the airwaves. With your help, voters across the state will continue to rally in droves to Nebraska’s Brand of Change.
Thanks as always,
Jeff Jacobs

PS - Stay "tuned" for an exciting diary from Scott tomorrow...
UPDATE #1 - Thanks to you early posters here and Scott's hard work today, we're now over $40,000 in 5 days! Who will pull us the rest of the way??
