Will someone please inform ABC "News" Entertainment that there is actually a war going on, that there is an enormous financial crisis, that people can't afford health care, that people are losing their homes, their jobs and their retirements? Further will somebody casually let slip that American people were (are?) being illegally spied on by their own telecom companies, that our government is torturing (whether it refuses to call it by that name or not), that Osama Bin Laden is still at large, that gas prices are driving us to bankruptcy, that strange and troubling things are happening to our environment, that consumer products are increasingly tainted and unsafe. Further, will somebody please let them know that the current administration's POLICIES - let me repeat that word - POLICIES - have created or contributed to these crises and made us less safe.
And lastly can somebody please mention to them that we, the American people, their audience, would like to hear our candidates discuss how they are going to work at resolving these issues through the POLICIES they intend to enact. We are eager to know what we can do to make life on Earth better for our children under their leadership. We would like ANSWERS and a substantive discussion of the issues, not more of this SUPERFICIAL "he said"/"she said" so-called analysis focusing on dishonest political attacks.
Any help ABC can provide toward the goal of substantive policy discussion would be greatly appreciated. That Gibson and ABC are blind to their glaring idiocy does not give one hope.
Next time, can we please have another YouTube debate instead? At least those questions were focused on what direction each candidate wanted to take our country. At least you got the sense that those questioners were invested in how the policies enacted by the executive branch of our government would affect their lives.
Apparently, our beltway media "elites" can afford to set such considerations aside and focus their attention on more amusing diversions, like trying to get the candidates to maul each other. Bravo Mr. Gibson and Mr. Stephanopoulos for proving that truly you are the embodiment of what our traditional media has become.
