I'm the first to admit I'm old school regarding politics. Give me a candidate I can get enthused about and I'm working my rolodex and my telephone, organizing fundraisers, yard signs, speaking engagements, but I could no more create an internet presence than I could create naturally blonde hair and larger mammaries for myself. I recognize my limitations.
That being said, I do have my talents, and I have a mind that is capable of making reasoned conclusions.
Using logic I have come to the conclusion that MyDD, Jerome Armstrong, and many Hillary supporters are off their intercoursing rockers.
While perusing the web this evening (I'm in the U.K., its technically now morning while I'm typing this) I stopped by MyDD
link
and read Mr. Armstrong's petulant diary regarding 'tiny tent dems'.
Mr. Armstrong and a few of his followers are obviously finding reality painful, but reality it is.
Firstly, Markos doesn't tell me how to think. No more than teacherken, trix, laura or eugene. In fact, I disagree with him on a regular basis. What he does provide is a forum for me to listen to other's opinions, to exchange ideas, dismiss ideas, or just laugh at pootie pictures in a positive 'let's all consider this' environment. I have never had my comments erased or my diaries deleted because of their content, even when they may be in opposition to Markos' positions. Something that MyDD certainly cannot represent. I'm sure that Mr. Armstrong is aware of the difference in the numbers to each site. Diversity at DKos is rich, both in substance and opinion.
Secondly, your 'hatred of Bill and Hillary Clinton' cry is a red-herring. Though it may give you some sort of emotional satisfaction to say that hatred is behind objections to Hillary's conduct most reasonable Democrats and Independents don't fail to support Hillary because of hatred, its because of a reasoned disagreement with her approach and her positions. Understand, she seems to be working hard to be worthy of the 'loathing' label. Individuals feeling disgust regarding her actions are not necessarily having an irrational response (which I know would help salve your bruised political egos) but may be responding purely to the fact that her actions have left the realm of 'for the good of the country' and are obviously only based upon personal ambition.
Finally, regarding your constant 'double dog dare' threats of voting for McCain in the general if Obama is the nominee or if somehow we don't 'reach out to you'. Get over yourselves. I have yet to read a thread regarding 'You need us' or 'Obama supporters should be nicer' that does not come with the implicit demand that 'we' take whatever dirt the Clintons dish out, like it...and still play nice.
The Clintons have passed the point of being 'good Democrats', but the tent is still really big. Perhaps its your collective egos that will find a hard time finding space.
