Did Joe Scarborough walk out of David Gregory's show "Race to the White House" Thursday night on MSNBC? It seems that way by the video below. Joe was a panelist on the show along with Air America's Rachel Maddow, CNBC's John Harwood and former Tennessee Congressman Harold Ford, Jr.
The panel was discussing the effect of Sen. Obama's personal and professional relationships on his campaign when Rachel and Joe disagreed. Joe started to challenge Rachel's argument that relationships only become an issue when a political opponent makes them an issue, but she cut him off, "Let me make my point and then you can dismiss me." She then finished with an example of a McCain campaign co-chair in Florida's bathroom activities.
After a commercial break, Joe prefaced his rebuttal to Rachel's point by saying "I don't engage in Crossfire-type debates and certainly I don't want to talk about what people do in bathrooms." When he finished speaking, and after David Gregory had shut Joe vs. Rachel down, John Harwood came on camera. Then, viewers can hear Joe taking off his microphone. When the panel picture came back, no Joe.

I don't know how you all feel about this...but I'm sick and tired of rightwing nuttery hacks like Joe Scarborough, who keep getting new shows despite their poor ratings and uncontrolable tempers. Joe Scarborough's last outing, "Scarborough Country" was a failure for MSNBC and he was rewarded with another new show "Morning Joe". Tucker Carlson thankfully, had his show on MSNBC cancelled, but not before CNN had two failures with him. Now, in case it wasn't enough of an embarrassment for MSNBC, they keep bringing Carlson back on their other shows for commentary..as if anybody cares what he has to say. Nobody watched his show when he had an hour of rightwing nuttery commentary every day of the week, why would we want to see his 2 cents added onto any other show now?
Joe Scarborough is constantly degrading, condescending, sexist and shrill when addressing women either on his show, or others, as he was today with Rachel Maddow and as he is every day with Mica Brzezinski. Rachel actually shut him down twice. After he began his "rebuttal" with the asinine Crossfire debate reference, Rachel restated that she had not finished her first sentence before he interrupted her. Rachel is possibly the most intelligent, articulate "voice of the left" and she definitely deserves her own show. Whether the media "suits" are brave enough to give her one is another story. maybe I should restate that....if the media "suits" are smart enough to give Maddow her own show, because we all already know they're cowards. I'm sure that what scares them most is that Maddow is actually intelligent and articulate. If Maddow were a ditzy Bushbotic blond with no intelligence whatsoever, she would have a three hour show on the FOX Nutwork.
Let's hope Scarborough keeps walking off shows. He's a mental midget who not too long ago was defending the policies of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. Just another blowhard. Republican Bushbots hate people who FACT CHECK. It gets in the way of their talking point memo presentation.
Write NBC president Steve Capus and let him know you're sick and tired of hacks like Scarborough getting their own shows, when their are gems like Rachel Maddow waiting in the wings...
