I have been vehemently anti-DLC since they first exposed what they really were. When Bill Clinton was elected and began pushing thinly veiled Republican policies i spent many a night screaming at the tv as the media pushed republican ideals from both parties. By his second term i had all but given up on america. At least until the blogosphere brought us together and gave us a place to coordinate and fight back.
Thats' why when Hillary ran against the first democrat in my lifetime who spoke exactly the message i had been waiting for my entire life it became literally a battle of good vs evil. Hillary and her "nuke Iran" speech before the far right AIPAC vs John Edwards and his Fight for the Working classes.

During that time i skewered more than a few of the people posting in happyland over at mydd and the other koolaid factories. I'm fairly certain i made on of the more prominent shills cry and.. yes though a bad human being.. it made me happy.
But the Obama virus has apparently snuck its way into my ideological bloodstream sadly.
You see Barack didnt just fight off attacks from all sides in the ABC attackfest. He did it with class. He practiced a form of verbal aikido the likes of which the psych-major-dropout media class has never seen. During the debates he managed to eviscerate every attack, turn them on the attacker, and never with even the hint of viciousness. He impressed me so much I made my first donation to his campaign last night.
We havent lived up to that ideal.
We've had trolls, idiots and scumbags galore display their childish stupidity (note: if you go make sure and pack your TR's) this primary season. When they have frankly we've been far from "pacifist wimps". In fact one would imagine many a freeper moron has visited DKos and left quivering with pouted lips and wet eyes. (Ok stop grinning now). The GOP is SCARED. They are so scared they are openly trying to run their candidates as democrats.
But its going too far.
The one message Obama has been pushing hardest is the reformation of america. It isnt just about "hope". It isnt just about the war or fighting corruption or helping the middle class. It is about a system reboot. About sending the Rovesque bile and evil back to the garbage dump where it belongs. Its about handing its purveyors includng those in the media their walking papers. Its about not compromising with the right, pretending to be the right, or embracing their ideals but rather destroying the false choices. About the end of false choices between jobs and safety. Between a healthy economy and rampant classism. It is about making america the reality based community where the white factory worker isnt told he must blame his black neighbor because his job is gone forever. That he must unite with his black neighbor to end the corporatism, classism and corruption that sent the job to china to enrich and empower chinas Tyrannical overclass.
So lets just stop.
Lets stop the attacks, all of them, on hillary suppoorters. We've all been guilty. We've all felt we were justified using words like Clintonista. Thing is when you were arguing with one of the many idiots who now reside at mydd et al.. you werent arguing with "the clintonista". You were arguing with an individual. They do not represent the people who legitimately, despite everything, hope for a Hillary presidency. They dont represent people like Trix. Who despite of course being wrong on everything ( **grin** ) are good people and good democrats. They dont deserve to be treated thus.
So lets just stop.
Lets resist our urge to brand groups of people foolishly. When a poster makes a ridiculous or false statement lets treat them like we do the republicans who are now Ex and have joined us. Lets treat people as individuals. No more attacks on Hillary supporters as a group. No more lumping them together. No letting out all the anger we have at Hillary for what we view as destructive to the Democratic party and america at a user and democrat.
Lets just stop. Lets follow Obamas example. Aikido. Not bar brawls. Decimation through kindness, correction and strength.
