It seems that the results of Pennsylvania may still leave wiggle room for many of you to not make up your minds about which candidate you support. It's probably more than arrogant for me to think that any of you might even read this, never mind influencing any of your decisions.
But, I'm 40 years old. I live in the midwest. I voted for Bill Clinton twice. This presidential campaign is the first that I've ever been committed to in both time and money. I was inspired by John Edwards 4 years ago, even moreso this campaign. I can now solidly identify and understand Progressive values. I have committed myself to advancing that cause for whatever time I have left on this Earth. And for that reason, I cannot in good faith vote for Hillary Clinton for President.
I will work hard and vote for those Congressional candidates, statewide candidates, and local candidates that represent the progressive values of John Edwards. But after the events of the last several weeks, I will not cast my vote for Hillary Clinton. Instead, I will place my hope that making Congress more progressive will be the way to push the country to a more fair and just nation. I voted for Bill Clinton, but in hindsight, the results weren't that great for those who don't have a voice. I expect much the same if the choice in November is between Hillary Clinton and John McCain. So, I'll leave my ballot for President blank and vote for my values in the remainder of the races. I've talked with lots of like-minded progressives this cycle. I'm certain that I'm not alone.
