From the Politico:
Reid said he met Wednesday with all of the Senate committee chairman, and that one chairman told him he was going to make an endorsement decision "soon."
When asked in the hallway if he was the committee chairman in question, Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Joe Biden delivered an emphatic "no."
So let the speculation begin. Who will get the endorsement? Many of the committe chairman have already endorsed.
For Obama:
Leahy
Conrad
Rockefeller
Johnson
Kerry
Dorgan
Kennedy
Dodd
For Clinton:
Feinstein
Inouye
For McCain:
Lieberman
The remaining, undeclared chairman are below (Biden excluded). Vote!
And of course, leave any insight as to whom might get the endorsement in the comments.
UPDATE: As many have pointed out in the comments, Barbara Boxer has announced that she will cast her superdelegate vote for Clinton at the convention, due to Clinton's victory in California. However, Boxer has publicly stated she will not be endorsing either candidate. She is included because, who here thinks Senator Clinton wouldn't make a big deal out of Boxer officially endorsing her candidacy?
Exactly. ;)
2nd UPDATE: As pointed out by DeanDemocrat in the comments, Reid uses a male pronoun to describe the chairman, so it is obviously not Barbara Boxer. Conversely, why is Boxer remaining neutral on an endorsement? Might she want to keep herself in the running for Obama's VP?
