Was laying in bed last night thinking about this whole primary situation and I was left with one thought. For what reason would you be an undeclared Super Delegate at this point. If you are a Super Delegate what could you possibly be waiting for in order to make a decision?
The whole reason for Super Delegates was to make sure that the dem primary did not elect someone that was unelectable to the country. It seems like at this point all the lack of action from the Super Delegates is doing is harming the potential democratic nominee. I agree to a point that the protracted primary has done a good job of registering new voters and shown how much enthusiasm there is on the dem side, especially compared to the republican side. But at this point having Obama torn down by fellow democrats in every state is not helping the party and is not helping a democrat get elected. We are letting Democrats define Obama how Mccain would want Obama defined. An elitist...jesus...he comes from a modest background and chose to do admirable work instead of cashing in each time and yet he is now defined as an elitist by are own party.
The Super Delegates have seen enough to form an opinion about both candidates and there electability. All this lack of action is doing is harming our chances at this point. I have also read that many Supers may fear the wrath of the Clintons and or feel like they owe loyalty to them. At this point it is pretty obvious that Obama will be the nominee so this argument holds little weight with me. It will work out in the long run for them personally if they endorse Obama and will have a better politcal future. Im so sick of hearing or reading about a block of Supers coming out for Obama or this or that may happen in the future. I think it is ridiculous if you have not made a choice at this point. Obama will be the nominee, why not make it easier for him to win the general election?
