First, thanks to Kossack sir for letting me know about CNN's latest "Quick Vote" on the issue of Hillary's demand for a Lincoln-Douglas style debate with Obama. I thought it warranted a diary entry. More debates? That is the last thing we need.
God, I am beyond exhausted by this primary season. The ABC debate was abominable and trivial. Everything that can be said between the candidates has been said. Even so, Senator Clinton, in her never-ending manipulation of the MSM, has challenged Senator Obama to a Lincoln-Douglas-style debate. And the MSM is buying into it, hook, line and sinker. Now it's become an "issue" of the campaign. Yeah, a manufactured one.
I would have loved to have seen a L-D debate...like before Iowa. Now, it's just a way for Clinton to maintain the facade that there is something left to do -- that there is something left to decide.
It is great to let the remaining states vote, but please, no more debates. Holding yet another debate is just another chance for Clinton to vilify Obama and tear our party apart. Therefore, please go to www.cnn.com and scroll down and find the "Quick Vote" and vote "NO" for the L-D debate.
Important: The vote is currently at 50-50 and there are less than 300 votes separating the yes vote from the no vote. Give the MSM and Clinton a message by voting NO to another debate.
Update: You guys have been awesome. Obama is ahead by about 700 votes. However, what is up with CNN? When you select "view results," the gray line is still with Clinton suggesting she is winning (i.e, the "yes" vote is winning). ??? Keep voting!
Update #2: Woo hoo, we are up to 51 percent voting "no" against 49 percent voting "yes"!!! Keep it up!
*** Edited to add CNN link. It is just on the CNN home page.
*** Edited to correct spelling of Douglas' name.
