Four more American kids were killed in Iraq today. Four more names piled onto the thousands of dead Americans who volunteered to defend their country and were sent to their deaths by George W. Bush.
This makes the deadliest month in Iraq since September of 2007.
But none of this happened.
Because our media has no reports on it.
First, the article from the AP:
4 Americans killed in new clashes; militants shell Baghdad's Green Zone
SLOBODAN LEKIC
AP News

Bombardments by suspected militants killed four U.S. soldiers Monday as troops tried to push Shiite fighters farther from the U.S.-protected Green Zone and out of range of their rockets and mortars.
At least 44 American soldiers have been killed in Iraq in April, making it the deadliest month for U.S. forces since September.
Now CNN.com.
I went to CNN to read their reporting. First I searched for "Iraq" on the home page. Zero hits.
Then I searched for "war." Zero hits.

I bolded the important stories that CNN feels outweigh the death of American troops in Iraq.
When "Teh Surge (tm)" was working, CNN was happy to run many stories about the war in Iraq.
Today?
There is no war.
There is no Iraq.
He who controls the present, controls the past.
We all know Faux is a national pile of excrement, but just for kicks and giggles, I checked Fox as well:

Again, I've bolded the vital national stories that Faux feels are more important than the fact OUR FUCKING GREEN ZONE IS GETTING SHELLED AND AMERICAN KIDS ARE DYING!!
This is the world we live in.
A world where hacks and frauds like George Stephenapoulos and Charlie Gibson go on primetime TV to talk about flag pins and pastors instead of war, recession and climate change.
Where human balls of shit like Chris Wallace smirk their way through issue-free hitjobs on democratic presidential candidates while collecting million dollar salaries for doing so.
And we're complaining about what Barack Obama did or didn't do?
Forget democrats, forget republican, forget congress.
Until we fix our media machine of propaganda and fog, we will never, ever, fix this country.
EDIT: Thanks for helping me make the top of the rec list!! In other news, MSNBC and the vile Matt Drudge also have no mentions of these four dead soldiers on their homepages (although MSNBC does have the AP story buried).
I propose that we learn each of their four names and we mark today April 28th, 2008, as the day we begin asking, every single day, why these four dead American heroes are less worthy of a mention on CNN than a dead dolphin at Sea World.
