This is my first diary. I hope my words here will cause readers to contemplate where, we as a nation will be, if we do not educate ourselves before we vote.
A wolf in sheep’s clothing
Last night I watched the last 10 minutes of the MSNBC Dan Abrams special on Barack Obama. I was troubled. I gave Mr. Abrams the benefit of a doubt because I had not seen the entire hour. Today MSNBC repeated the entire special at around 1:00PM ET. I have no doubt that MSNBC will air this program again and again over this weekend.
I am appalled and angry at this outrageous pandering to the uninformed and politically naïve element in America.
Mr. Abrams with his boyish look and demeanor acts like a comic. He is not a comedian nor is he a journalist. He is a lawyer. Mr. Abrams is (I assume) an attorney who passed the bar exam - somewhere. MSNBC used him to chair this ‘special’ on the Rev. Wright controversy exactly because he looks unassuming – he looks like a boy. Thus my title "wolf in sheep’s clothing". MSNBC did not roll out Tim Russert, Chris Matthews, Andrea Mitchell, Keith Olberman, David Gregory or Brian Williams to host this ‘special’. Dan Abrams, who side-barred the OJ Simpson trial and other legal fiascos covered by the mainstream media, is expendable so he was tapped to ‘chair’ this madness. Perhaps the TV ratings for his comedy "Verdict" are so low that MSNBC had to use him in hopes of improving his ratings.
The program began with several of the explosive, controversial and repulsive film clips of Rev. Wright. There were clips of film throughout the hour which gave solace to the uninformed element in our great country. MSNBC knows exactly what this will do. They attempt to portray this as news. I expect this from FOX and even to some extent from CNN but I did not expect this from MSNBC. Naiveté has its’ place in some circles.
On Tuesday May 6, 2008 the good folks who live in Indiana and North Carolina will vote in their respective Democratic Primaries. MSNBC wants to be ABSOLUTELY sure the good people in these two states have ALL of the information on the issues. Issues. Issues.
4,000++ dead in Iraq
20,000++++ wounded in Iraq
100,000+++ or more Iraqi – Children, Women and Men killed
$4 gallon gasoline in the USA
20,000 jobs lost in the USA in April
MSNBC also wants to be absolutely certain that the racist element in Indiana and North Carolina will not be able to ‘move on’. Rub salt in a wound. Add insult to injury. Make a bad situation worse. I could go on.

We stopped ABC dead in their tracks after the ‘debate’ – time to go back to work.
