What's remarkable is the fact that these results came out with Clinton at near her best (at least, according to the punditry, she had found her "voice" and seemed more confident than ever, etc), and Obama at his worst (or, at least, his most vulnerable). For 2 weeks Obama was on the defensive, and for the last week it seemed like all the crap that was being thrown at him might finally get to him in a real way.
I didn't think he'd lose NC, but the fact that Obama was able to win resoundingly in NC and come extremely close in IN (if not for Operation Chaos, he probably would've won) is a true mark of his strengths as a candidate. The last 2 weeks have been unbelievably bad for Obama, going from a 10 point margin in RCP's national polling average to a dead heat and even losing strength in the state polls... Quite an epic fall in such a short amount of time.
Yet, he still crushed her in NC and outperformed expectations in IN. Amazing. Bring on November... Obama is going to roll right over McCain.
