The press in London is, of course, claiming May 6 as a big victory for Obama.
But then I went over to the US media online, and was surprised to see the following homepages that, in some instances, could almost confuse people that somehow the day went to Hillary.
I know it is all over for Hillary and Obama is now the presumptive nominee, but I thought it would be interesting to take a look at just how the media presents the story, so here it is.
Here is CNN: "Hillary wins in Indiana." Real estate devoted to triumphant photo of Hillary. No picture of Obama. Mention of his win in small print.
Here is MSNBC. Clearly it is just apparently calling Indiana, but look at the real estate devoted to Hillary and no positive mention of Obama's landslide in North Carolina. They only state that his victory was 'racially lopsided."
Fox News headline: "Split Decision."
CBS: "Obama, Clinton split Key Primaries"
Now, check out the newspaper front pages. You would have a totally different perception as to what happened:
