Ok, I know the title is slightly misleading -- Gravel isn't even on the ballot in West Virginia.
Perhaps, at this point, a better analogy would be Mike Huckabee, but that wouldn't be as funny.
But seriously folks, who is going to be voting for the Clintons in any of the upcoming primaries!?
Only 2 Groups of People will make up her constituency in the upcoming primaries, and they aren't the traditional demographic type of voters.
First Group is the HardCore Clinton Supporters
I honestly don't expect this group to be much bigger than the numbers of voters still voting for John Edwards (who happens to still be on the WV ballot)
But, a quick visit around 'the tubes' and You will hear them proclaim that Clinton is still going to win the nomination, so, for them, the race isn't over.
Second Group: The VERY VERY Low Information Voter
This Group is larger than the first group, and may be large enough to capture for the Clinton's a Mike Huckabee type of win in WV.
The media have finally, and I believe, irreversibly acknowledged what many of us have known since TX/OH -- the race is over and the nominee of the Democratic Party is Barack Obama: The media are the absolute LAST people that want to acknowledge this -- they have absolutely LOVED the ongoing feud. But, with the tattered shreds of any sense of credibility laying about their ankles, they have finally acknowledged that Barack Obama is the presumptive nominee.
So, the people that fall into this second group are either those voters that haven't heard this because they don't even bother to listen to the news of any sort (or their neighbors, doctors, veterinarians, hair stylists, etc) or they don't quite understand what the media is telling them.
Admittedly, the Clinton campaign is perhaps more like the Huckabee campaign, and she could well pull out a victory out of WV.
But, her chances of this are going to diminish over the coming week.
Now, I think the only reason that I included Gravel in the Title, is because I think that whoever it is on Youtube that is doing his Youtube videos is brilliant, and I just wanted to include one here -- 'can't we all just get along' rings in my ears!!!
