Barack Obama is now only 1/2 of a superdelegate vote behind Hillary Clinton.
The Utah Democratic Party selected Kristi Cumming as the newest superdelegate.
Obama only needs 164 more total delegates to win the nomination
Delegates to the Democratic National Convention in Denver were elected Friday, including unpledged add-on (or so-called superdelegate), Kristi Cumming.
Others elected were:
• Congressional District 1 for Hillary Clinton: Carlos Vasquez and Connie Nelson.
• Congressional District 1 for Barack Obama: Kathy Snyder, Scott McCoy, and Kelvin Davis.
• Congressional District 2 for Hillary Clinton: Lisa Alcott and Ross Romero
• Congressional District 2 for Barack Obama: Josie Valdez, Pat Jones, Theodore Cowan, and Kurt Bestor.
• Congressional District 3 for Hillary Clinton: Jordon Payell and Emily Rushton
• Congressional District 3 for Barack Obama: Brian Spitten and Millicent Lewis.
Four more add-ons are being selected today, two each from Massachusetts and Ohio.
You may have seen several sources announce yesterday that Obama took the lead in superdelegates. I guarantee you if ABC actually published their list of supers I would be able to find at least 2 or 3 that should not be on it.
And now for your viewing pleasure.... Tables and Graphs!
Clinton advisers say that attacks on Obama are no longer enough to change the momentum or outcome of the nomination race. Continued attacks on him, at this point, would probably inflict more long-term harm on Clinton than on Obama, her advisers said. - Mercury News
