After Indiana, yes THAT Indiana, I started to pinch myself. Could America finally be getting its intelligence back? Could we actually see an election decided by issues instead of smears? Could this really be the revolution we have been looking for?
Now this. Evangelicals for Obama, for unity, for focusing on the issues.
From CNN.
A group of influential Christian leaders are declaring they are tired of divisive politics, tired of watching fights over some issues trump all the good they could be doing.
The article is an eye-opener, a head scratcher, and then a very uplifting message of hope. Even if it is just hot air from one particular group looking to grab some attention, it is reported by CNN and it could catch on as a meme.
"What I try to do is as best I can be an instrument of His will," Sen. Barack Obama has said.
Whatever your particular persuasion, that is a very admirable quality. The opposite of Ego. When my kids were growing up, our nightly prayer went like this:
"Dear God, I love you. Help me to be what you want me to be, and thank you for everything."
I hear the same prayer in Barack Obama's voice.
And now I hear that the Evangelical community might break for him too? Now I have seen everything.
