Well, it seems Hillary was right, those pledged delegates aren't really pledged after all. They can switch.
And guess what, they have begun doing exactly that!
I went for my daily dose of Green Papers this morning, and found that Obama had 1,591.5 pledged delegates, not the 1,590.5 I'd been seeing for some time.
Had there been a change in the final tallies in NC or IN? Nope. PA? Nada. TX? Zilch.
A Maryland pledged delegate for Clinton has announced he will support Obama at the convention since Obama has "in a real sense" won the nomination.
Here's the link, from WaPo via Green Papers.

A couple of brief words below the jump, and a command for the kos to change the "pledged" delegate counts: 1,591.5 baby!
EDIT: THE DEATH OF THE BREADKING!
EDIT: THE DEATH OF BREAKING!
Just two short tidbits here.
First, on the reason pledged delegates can switch. Why? Because in the name of party unity at the convention, party leaders thought it was a good idea for delegates to be able to get behind the person who was the nominee, instead of having to vote for someone who couldn't win the nomination.
It's not supposed to be an invitation to create havoc and chaos, but an opportunity for healing and unity.
Second, if Hillary is starting to lose pledged delegates, what are her chances of convincing uncommitted supers? Hopefully, this will be a signal for her to get out, or at least get the message through that she cannot win. Hopefully, if that doesn't make her drop out, she can at least make an end in a more graceful way (no more race comments).
