Slinkerwink has graciously suggested unrecommending her first Superdelegate open thread for the day. That thread got large quickly; once comments get to 500 or so, my slow dial-up connection starts to go berserk. Given that it's only 12:43 pm est, I thought I would start another open thread to discuss today's declared super delegates.
As of 12:45 pm, the super delegates for Obama today are:
SUPERDELEGATES FOR OBAMA
1. Rep. Joe Donnelly (Indiana)
2. Ray Nagin, mayor of New Orleans
3. Roy Romer– former Colorado governor and DNC chair
4. Anita Bonds, chair of the DC Democratic Party
UPDATE: As of 4:00 pm EST, no further superdelegates have announced, so I think 4 is going to be our final total for the day.
I'm ending my updating here.
UPDATE #2 Ok, I lied. I just wanted to add something interesting I saw on MSNBC. KO just interviewed WV Gov Joe Manchin (D). He has not declared his support of either candidate and said he will not until June 3. But he sounded awfully keen on Obama. Anybody else think the same thing?
