No matter whom one backs in the Democratic primary, tonight was a great night for the Democratic party. With wins in MS-01 and in the NE-SEN primary, we all have reason to celebrate no matter whom your candidate was in West Virgina.
One thing we should all be happy about is how aggressive the DCCC has become in the last few months. Heck maybe the last few years! Back in the day they would not have touched a race like MS-01, yet alone the race in Louisiana. Matter of fact they usually picked a few incumbents to defend and that would be the end of it. Not any more. They have the cash to take the fight to the gop and they are using it.
The DCCC has been working across the board, kicking ass and taking names "for voter files". I used to be a critic of the D-trip. I thought the could of helped Paul Hackett more in OH-02 in 05'. I think they should of left Tammy Duckworth to win or loose on her own in the primary in 2006. But I notice this: To my knowledge the D-trip has stayed out of contested primary's this time around, and they are fighting hard on red turf. They seemed to learn from their mistakes, and to reward them I am going to make my first donation to the DCCC a few minutes after I hit the post diary button.
We have the enthusiasm. We have the boots on the ground. The National Republican Congressional Committee (or NRCC) spent a large sum to hold on to the last few seats, and the DCCC matched them, and WON!! If we can help refill that piggy bank we can perhaps win more special elections or just be better prepared for November.
I see a lot of candidate diary's and personally usually prefer to donate to them directly. But The DCCC seriously earned some kick ass points tonight.
And for that reason I am going to kick them a few bucks. I ask you to do the same.

Someone please lie to me and say they would kick a few bucks to help make me feel better for staying up until 11:00pm on a work night!
Congrats to everyone tonight!
