General Vallely, revealed as one of numerous Pentagon, media propaganda generals by a recent NY Times expose, is back at work. Today, the Washington Times is using Vallely for commentary on Lebanon. Amazing!
Today, the Washington Times used Gen Vallely, Fox military analysis and exposed propaganda general, as a commentary on an article covering the Lebanon situation. Vallely blames Iran for the crisis. He conveniently forgets that the US backed Lebanon Government sparked the crisis by attempting to seize the Hezbollah communications network. I am very curious whether the idea for the seizure originated with the Lebanese government or the US.
He also states that Syria and Lebanon surround Israel!!! Is a US general so ignorant of geography to even suggest Israel is surrounded by Syria and Lebanon or is he counting on the ignorance of the Washington Times readers??? And is the Washington Times so ignorant that they printed this inaccuracy without question.
Below is the passage from page 2 of the Times article. As you can see, General Vallely continues to beat the Pentagon drums for war...this time Iran.

Druze leader Walid Jumblatt, whose forces fought a bloody battle with Hezbollah over the weekend, is still under Hezbollah's "mercy" and fears that he will be assassinated by Hezbollah, said retired Maj. Gen. Paul E. Vallely, who has been in communication with sources in the region since the weekend.
Gen. Vallely added that intelligence from the region suggests that Iran has knowingly been behind Hezbollah's surprise move to take control of the country and that lack of support from outside allies places the region in a serious predicament.
"Iran is getting what it wants and, basically, they will take over Lebanon through Hezbollah," Gen. Vallely said. "The danger is more to Israel now because now they are surrounded by Iranian-controlled Lebanon, and also Syria.
"The Arab countries and the Arab League will do nothing. They will take no action, Europe will do nothing. So the Lebanese Christians and Druze will now be under Hezbollah. That's the tragedy of it all."
But to the main point, Vallely is one of the Pentagon propaganda generals revealed in the NY Times expose. Why and how, in the name of all journalistic ethics, is the Washington Times still using Vallely as a source when he has been revealed as a pure government propagandist????
Not only is the national media ignoring the propaganda general story but they are continuing to use these "discredited" generals to present analysis!!
The "big lie" repeated over and over by a collaborative media works. The Soviets were amateurs compared to the US today.
