If any of my fellow Edwards supporters remain hesitant, it's time to stand up and support Barack Obama.
I've been one of JRE's strongest (some would argue "most obnoxious") supporters. I believe that he would have, and someday may be, a great president. I trust his intellect, judgment and sincerity. I've known him for many years, he is an authentic human being who cares deeply about this nation. And when he speaks about Barack Obama, he means what he says.
There were many who said that an Edwards endorsement wouldn't matter. I think that canard has been put to rest. John Edwards will work like hell to help send Barack's moving vans to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, and as you will see below, he's putting his (and our) money where his mouth is.
Yes, some endorsements don't matter. Most in fact. This endorsement, my friends, is a brilliant exception.
Here is the text of an email I received from John:
Dear jre2k8,
It's time for bold leadership in this country -- leadership that will create lasting change.
And I know that Barack Obama is a good man who will stand up for what matters for the future of this country.
I know he carries the same hope in his heart that you and I do. The hope to make this country better, to end 8 long years of division, and make the Two Americas, one.

This election is about taking down the walls that divide us so we can see what's possible: one America that works for all of us.
We need one America where Main Street is strong again.
We need one America where we finally tackle the health care crisis, where all children have an equal chance for a quality education and where finally end the moral shame of 37 million people living in poverty.
We need one America where we work together to end our dependence on oil.
We need one America where our service men and women come home from Iraq as quickly and safely as possible, and where we take care of our veterans.
Barack Obama knows in his heart that it is time to create one America -- and he knows how to make it happen.
We need you in this cause and in this movement. Sign up to get involved now:

I always said that our campaign was not about me -- it was about a vision for true change in America and the strength to fight for it.
In their search for a candidate to fulfill this vision, the Democratic voters in America have made their choice -- and so have I.
Barack Obama is the leader we need, and it's up to each one of to make sure we elect him President.
I look forward to working with you to make it happen.
Thank you,
John Edwards
