I wrote this yesterday:
In a way, it is almost fun to have this two week span between the last contests to speculate on what is going to happen next with the "Clinton Delusional Rants". Anyone who has seen someone on the brink of desperation, whether an ex or a two-year-old child sees this for just what it is -- a tantrum. Envision her jumping up and down with her fists clenched in a polyester leisuresuit she favors, yelling, IT'S MINE, IT'S MINE, I WANT IT, I WANT IT, and don't forget, IT'S NOT FAIR, IT'S NOT FAIR, IT'S NOT FAIR.
The excuses for Clinton staying in this race have been no more mature. The white people like me more. ALL women like me more (this woman thinks you are an embarrassment to all women everywhere), and my favorite, West Virginia and Kentucky (who vote Republican) want me to be president. I am CERTAIN that your wins there had nothing to do with your talk about good, white people, but that's a discussion for another day.
On May 31, the Rules committee votes on whether to seat Florida and Michigan. Because both of these states broke the rules and CLEARLY knew that they would be punished, giving them all their votes would be like rewarding a kid for bad behavior. When would the bad behavior ever stop - if they got no punishment, wouldn't all states would move up their primaries to be more relevant? There needs to be sanctions, to prevent other states from doing the same next year, and everyone knows it.
People on the rules committee obviously know about what Hillary is doing and were chosen NOT for their devotion to Hillary Clinton, but to their devotion to democracy and the Democratic party. One of "Hillary's" people on the committee, Garry Shay, has come out with a list of declarations stating his intentions and if you are worried, read it. He even said that he is with Hillary "for now". http://demconwatch.blogspot.com/...
(Basically, he says that he has NO intention of overruling the will of the people.) The other members of the committee are 8 people who have declared for Obama and 7 who are under the thumb of Dean. Does ANYONE think Howard Dean or ANY of the DNC approve of what Hillary Clinton is doing now? Obviously, it is divisive and they are sick and tired of this.
Clinton may feel that she has some friends on the committee (some say 12, 13), but I believe she has shown that nothing matters more to Clinton than Clinton and it will be surprising how fair and balanced the decision is. What Clinton wants in this has become much less important, because of her position (SHE HAS LOST) and her recent behavior has doomed her.
Democrats want desperately to win in the fall. Do you think any of these people will "HAND" the election to Clinton? Especially after her behavior in the last several months? NEVER EVER EVER.
Have faith in Obama. He has probably already talked to every single person on the committee. They know about Hillary's recent lies. Every single Democrat TOOK themselves off the ballot in Michigan to abide by the rules except for Clnton and now she believes ONLY SHE should get votes. There are plenty of things she signed stating that she understood the rules and her pathetic screaming mouthpiece Terry McCauliff went even further. He said that it would "disenfranchise" the traditional first states, Iowa, New Hampshire, etc. and thought the only answer was to strip ALL the votes from Michigan and Florida. Clinton signed it, and also said the same thing ON TAPE.
June 1. Puerto Rico. Just like the rest of Hillary's campaign, she thinks she will win Puerto Rico because she was told she had support with the "Puerto Rican community" in New York City. That is about as dumb as saying that ALL blacks or ALL whites are the same.
Read a very good blog about the Puerto Rico situation posted a few days ago and you will get the sense that it is no slam dunk for her. Barack is going to Puerto Rico and speaking in a couple of places. The more places we get him to go, the larger the victory will be. (http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/5/21/201235/348)
Obama will then win South Dakota and Montana on June 3. With Barack going over the top in needed delegates and no longer having to deal with fake Hillary Clinton math totals, the win will allow the wimpy and misguided supers the cover they have been coveting. They will flow to him like a flood. (Look at your people who have not declared, and remember their lack of backbone the next time you vote!!)
ADDENDUM:
What does Hillary have left in her black bag of dirty tricks?
Now we know. The last thing left, the pathetic hopeless last straw was to infer that if the other guy got shot, she would be sitting there, waiting to take the reins.
Hillary, you are not fit to take the reins in a pony ride. You are not fit to wipe the dirt off Barack Obama's shoes.
I grew up with the assassination of JFK being one of my earliest and strongest memories. I worked my 12-year-old ass off to help Bobby. I made signs and I talked to my parents and implored them to vote for him. I stayed up late the night of the California primary and watched him walk out with his wife and address his thrilled California fans. We were all so excited that night. After all the rancor and sadness, we had hope. The news of his death the next morning had my Mother and I in tears. Even my stoic Dad was choked up. NEVER, EVER should anyone in any capacity use the word assassination in reference to another candidate for president. It makes it ten times worse when the candidate has to wear a bullet-proof vest and have a giant contingent of Secret Service and sharpshooters in every town because of all the death threats that have come in.
I am SO damn disappointed. I am so mad that Hillary could not see it in her black burned coal she calls a heart to use the words I AM SORRY. I am so disappointed that she did not directly apologize to the Obama family. I am so disappointed that she STILL thinks this is winnable for her.
She does not deserve any respect, any interest, and certainly she doesn't deserve us to let this "play out". HILLARY CLINTON IS NOT FIT TO BE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, and I also have my doubts as to her fitness to serve as a Senator. She has shown us what she is made of and we should all be collectively horrified.
If you have not watched Keith Olbermann's comment on Hillary and her quest for power and his comment, please do so. He is so much more articulate than I am and brings up all the other things that have made this campaign such a total embarrassment for women and for all Democrats, and now for every human being that has a heart.
