I've had it with old school feminists and Clinton enthusiasts threatening to vote for McCain if Hillary doesn't get the nomination. If you want to continue endorsing Bush's foreign policy and overturn Roe vs. Wade just to spite your face, then so be it.
Right back at ya!
More down there.
It would be nice if the MSM didn't have it's head up it's ass, and figured out that the majority of anti-Hillary sentiment had more to do with the fact that the netroots hatred about Clinton has EVERYTHING to do with her relationship with the DLC, and NOTHING to do with gender.
I suspect those who hide behind feminism to endorse HRC are using feminism as a way to get Hillary on the ballot in November. The reason I suspect that gender politics are being exploited is because all the militant Hillary people haven't done shit for Nancy Pelosi.
Paelo-fems defend Hillary's vote for the war as "A woman has to triangulate and vote for war so she'll look strong." Well, Nancy voted against the war, and she suffered for her ethical vote by being promoted to minority leader six months later. Two years later, she became the first female speaker of the house. Obviously, voting from the heart, and representing those who supported her paid off a hell of alot more than kissing Bush's ass ever would.
And where are the old school fems when Nancy Pelosi gets screwed over for circumstances beyond her controll, or when she is unfairly blamed for something the Senate couldn't pass? NOWHERE! The most powerfull woman in American political history (and MY congresswoman) is left hung out to dry by you so-called feminists time and time again. The fact is, Nancy gets her shit done, but Harry Reid doesn't have the votes to over-ride a Bush veto. Nancy gets a bad wrap because Harry doesn't have the votes, and your fine with that. But Obama beats Hillary fair and square, and you want to scream sexism!?!?! HELLO!!!!!
Get your priorities straight.
Nancy debunked the theory that a woman has to play hawk to get ahead in politics. A vote against Hillary will do well to bury this absurd gender divide, and allow us all to vote from our hearts.
I live in CA. If Hillary steals the nomination, I'll vote for Cynthia McKinney or Ralph Nader instead. I'm done with the DLC. I always vote for Nancy Pelosi and Barbra Boxer. That said, I voted Green against Feinstein because she dismissed her electorial base and voted for this absurd, unethical war, (she still won with 70%) and I may do the same against Clinton. I don't give a shit who's ass you have to kiss to get into office. If people are dying, no pay raise or prestige can make ammends for the loss of life. (Relax, I live in a solid blue state, so the Democrat will carry CA no matter what.)
