Anything Can Happen In June
by Meyer Baron © 2008
We could build a tractor
out of castor oil
Build a dream from raindrops
hide ‘em in the soil
Watch the birth of Jesus
on the dark side of the moon
Anything can happen in June
I could write a novel
or a Chinese menu
Win the Nobel peace prize
from the emails that I sent you
Practice tantric yoga
while I swim the black lagoon
Anything can happen in June
Now, everybody knows a girl like June
with a shiny disposition
A smile as wide as Mexico
No qualms or impositions
She’s like a living daydream
and she always plays your tune
Anything can happen in June
Let’s fight until we’re empty
put everybody down
Piss on all our memories
Then we’ll paint the town
Watch ourselves a minstrel show
Play the big buffoon
Anything can happen in June
