You belong in the box with the rest of the accused. You're not even qualified to be a juror here, much less the prosecutor. If you don't have any new evidence to present, you should sit down and shut up.
Is anybody getting the irony that the chief propaganda minister delegate is now writing about a "culture of deception"? No? Well, that's because it's not irony; it's hypocrisy, and yet more propaganda.
Just take a look at his comments on the media, who colluded with him on the selling of war like a choreographed dance team. He accuses them of being "too deferential". Say what? Pot, look into your own blackness. You clearly took the lead in this dance of death.
Scottie claims "the 'liberal media' didn't live up to it's reputation". "Liberal media"? Really? Is this a typo? Hell, no. Of course it really should read, "the media didn't live up to their 'liberal' reputation which we created for them". Just another example of a perfectly crafted manipulation of information already familiar, carefully presented to new propaganda effect.
There's not one piece of evidence I've read or heard of in media discussions about this book which I didn't already know factually or evidently, yet the "liberal" media is lapping it all up like a bunch of stray dogs at an overturned beer truck. As soon as the next accident comes into view, the pack will move on, instantly forgetting this mess and leaving it for others to clean up.
I knew full well that Scottie was lying every day as propaganda minister delegate, and so did many others, especially he who himself crafted each single word not to convey the truth, but to obfuscate it. How could anyone possibly believe he has honorable motives now? Well, anyone other than those "liberal" media.
So, the book? Why? Why now? Why not just wait for history to judge after memories fade? Now, who could possibly be thinking, "Get it out now! And get it out under our control, so we can deny it all now and discredit our accuser now, before our asses get hauled before too many Congressional Committees, or worse, those hateful 'activist judges'."?
"After this, whenever we stand accused of our crimes, we can claim to have been through this already. As we pretend to be 'puzzled' by them, we can collectively deny all the accusations compiled in this book on the basis that it was written by a disgruntled former employee, thus to be discredited entirely. We may be chastened by the media and embarrassed in the arena of public opinion, but ultimately we will escape justice, untried by any legitimate court of law."
McLellan's book is the ultimate Rovian strategy, a ruse with Scottie playing the chief protagonist. These criminal suspects have crafted this perfect storm, the roughest storm which they believe to be survivable, which will serve to forevermore wash away the possibility of prosecution for the crimes of which they are most certainly guilty. Weathering this contrived storm, this premature trial in the court of those "too deferential" media will create the illusion that they now deserve the immunity of double jeopardy.
I hardly believe Bush, Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Tenet, Bremer, Gonzales, Rove, Armitage, Addington, Libby, et al would just passively take their chances of possibly someday standing accused before a real court, with real prosecutors, and real consequences for conviction.
I must wonder what, or who, has emboldened this accomplished propagandist to "come clean", for it is indeed a bold move for one who should be a prime defendant to address the court as a litigant.
You've still got it, Karl.
