I still believe.
From Obama's Rally in Great Falls, Montana today.
This primary has exhausted me. I'm so tired. But pictures like this keep me going. Lets me know that I'm not in this alone.
I'm not the only person supporting Obama and believes he can win.
I'm not the only black person supporting Obama and believes he can win.
I'm not the only black female person supporting Obama and believes he can win.
I'm not the only 28 year old black female person supporting Obama and believes he can win. (Thanks UnaSpenser and ejpoeta)
Yep, pretty much in that order.
I stand side-by-side with everyone who wants a change and believes that race and gender are secondary to beautiful, righteous and sincere spirits.
He is not the messiah. He is not God. But he inspires me like my father.
I still believe, Barack. This will not be stolen from US (Correction noted!).
Update: My power went out last night shortly after I wrote this and I am JUST now finding out that I made the Rec list for the first time... woo hoo!!!! I'm thrilled that so many people were inspired by the picture like I was. Thanks guys!
Update II: Some of the commenters have shared great pics of kids as well. Here are more!
Thanks Lirtydies.
I saw this picture posted in another diary a while back and thought it deserved a re-post.
I'm well aware of the debate about kids wearing political wear and whether it's fair or not. I personally believe it is positive to a point. I don't have any kids, but I probably wouldn't suppress my child's admiration of a candidate. If they can go crazy over Hannah Montana, That's So Raven, etc., why NOT a political candidate?
