Donna Brazile to Jim Blanchard, who had earlier in his testimony referred to his mother.
One of the key points of contention is this: Clinton people say the vote mattered, and the large vote shows everyone in MI knew it mattered. Most others make the point that because the vote was in violation and was perceived by most as not valid, so the goal of the committee should be to come up with a compromise that reflects the intent of voters who voted for Clinton, voters who voted undecided in lieu of voting for Obama or Edwards, voters who wrote in a vote for someone (and whose ballots, because of Michigan law, were discarded), and those who recognized that the DNC had not authorized the Michigan vote, so thus did not participate in the Democratic primary and either voted in the Republican primary or just didn't bother to cast a meaningless vote.
The committee is now on break. Deliberations begin at 4:15 EDT.
