Obviously, the White House. But let's tell it like it is; that's not going to happen. That's not the real question, anyway. The real question is, what would Senator Clinton accept? What could she hold up to her supporters - or perhaps more importantly to a mirror - and call a "win"?
I feel sorry for Clinton. I do. She is one of those people who are just plain "winners". You know the ones I'm talking about; they try the hardest, work the longest, and expect to come out on top. If she crash landed on a deserted island with other survivors, she would automatically assume she was in charge, because she couldn't see it any other way. Some might think of this as a massive character defect, but I disagree. (Thank you, Straw Man!) These are the people who have shaped our nation, whether or not we wanted them to. I would argue that we needed them to.
The point being, what happens when all that hard work and gritty determination is brought to naught? In my experience, people like Clinton - when faced with this situation - have to find a "win". So, what would it take? Vice President? Secretary of State? Majority leadership?
I realize that this can be viewed a different way: What shiny toy will make Senator Clinton stop throwing a tantrum and let us enjoy our dinner? But I don't blame Clinton for her behavior, any more than I blame the child for the tantrum. It's just who they are. They simply don't know any other way. (This doesn't excuse the bad behavior, just explains it.)
Anyway, when we all put away our heaping bowls of Bitter Flakes, what do you think Senator Clinton should get?
