Listening while watching what I was cutting up for dinner, I overheard Jon be the perfect lawyer and steer the conversation to the perfect Jack "you're damn right I ordered the Code Red" Nicholson blurt of TRUTH moment.  The Daily Show was on fire again and with Jon digging where other interviewers fear to tread, this transcript is... as Scotty puts it "criminal"
I sure hope someone gets this audio/video posted soon and that I hear it often, more than that though; John Conyers ears should hear.  Maybe this could come up again, say somewhere that they might actually put you under oath and what was that word, on yeah, TESTIFY.

The context is all there, talking about premeditation by the Shrud Administration...

Jon Stewart: Let's not tell hom much it costs, let's not mention it.  That's a sin of omission, that's a lie.
Scott McClellen: Yeah, there is no difference if it deliberate or not, it is problematic in their own way.
Jon: They are not both problematic... one is homicide, one is involuntary manslaughter.
Scott McClellen: That would be criminal, for instance.
Jon Stewart: That's what I am saying!"

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

we still have to hold our Effing gun powder dry.  Goodness knows you know that once the Dems are in the whitehouse these same scum sucking media and Conservatives will be jumping to indict Obama for his choice of breakfast cereal.

    /end rant

  •  This was by far the best McClellan interview (9+ / 0-)

out of the entire deluge of the last several days. Tweety wasted time earlier today asking Scotty how he felt and what he thought (as if he was allowed to do that), essentially having him regurgitate the book. It was nice to see Jon Stewart prod Scotty into drawing the obvious conclusions out loud.

Dare I ask, did anyone watch Scotty on Orally? That was tonight, correct?

John McCain : The kids aren't alright, my friends.

He says it as if it is something that happens to every President. This "permanent campaign" bullshit
is a Karl Rove thing so that he could achieve a "Permanent Republican Majority". Every single interviewer let him get away with talking about this crap.  I think the interviews of him have been abominable, except for Jon Stewart.

Didn't take any shit, and pushed Mclellan exactly like you said.

doesn't have time to think about the gift they have been given.

Where are the questions/discussions about Jack Abramoff, torture, Jeff Gannon, the missing billions, etc.

Scott could write a book each year forever.

Reality is best served in small portions and only to others.

He's going to be very busy making statements under oath if he keeps playing into the hands of comedians. I really think Scott's trying to clear his conscience, (meaning that the standard Bush brainwash isn't 100% or permanent). I know many don't feel he's owed any respect, but anyone that pisses off Bushco the way that he's doing, I gotta like.
I even bet that the vitriol of the 'base' is making cool hand Scotty mad enough to slap someone. So in the essense of getting more flies with sugar, I think we should give Li'l Mc a pat on the butt.

No, not there, that's his face.

watching my back if I was Mr. McClellan. He has laid it all bare for the whole world in no uncertain terms. Now, I am sure if asked about their projections on costs for Iraq...they would say they planned for 50 billion and were not lying when they said that.. Bad plan.
I think McClellan is providing Obama material to use vs. McSame.
