The cliche is, 'we are watching history being made.' But that's not quite it, not tonight, not for us. We are part of making history. We will remember this evening for the rest of our lives. No doubt, traditional media aided by terrified conservative troublemakers will seek any means to sow division among us. In the next few hours, days, or weeks, they will further refine their narrative and do anything they can to turn us against each other. But after the last year and halfway through the new one, after seeing the passion and patriotism put forth by volunteers working on behalf off all the progressive candidates at local and natotional races, I have no doubt you in the progressive movement will, yet again, confound the punditicracy to a degree that may stand out as our finest hour. I can't imagine a better group of people to witness this moment with than the fine men and women in the Daily Kos community, and I eagerly look forward to many historic future moments in that same company.
For those newcomers reading along who want to join the community, our door is always open.
