Had an absolutely fabulous time last night at the Bloggers Caucus last evening.
If you weren't there, you were missed.
If you were there, remember to hydrate for the hangover...
The Cedar Door folks took great care of us. I recommend the jalapeno poppers and the Mexican Martinis. WooT!
The Texas Progressive Alliance hosted the festivities, with an assist from these friends on the bar bill.

Some of the friends, old and new I met last night, besides our own SCCS, Refinish69, and the inimitable SoniaS.
Vince Leibowitz (and his lovely fiance, Michael-Anne), of Capitol Annex and too infrequently TK's own front page.
Charles Kuffner, from Off the Kuff and Kuff's World, the godfather of the Tex-o-sphere. He's been doing it longer, and does it so well that he still sets a standard to which I aspire.
The gentlemen for BOR were there as well. Those kid bloggers rule Burka's world, and he really doesn't like that very much. (Hi, Matt, Phil, and K-T).
The Houston area is a hotbed of excellent bloggers, and it was great to see Muse from Musings, Pdiddie from Brains and Eggs, and John Coby from Bay Area Houston there to represent. (Also, Go Sherrie Matula!!!)
Also got to meet Rep Dan Barrett briefly, and Sam Houston, candidate for the Texas Supreme Court.
I also got to meet, finally, Melissa Noriega, Houston City Council member and wife of our U.S. Senate candidate, Rick Noriega. Rick will be speaking at the Texas State Convention before he heads back to the field for his National Guard duties.
I'm a big fan of hers, so it was nice to be able to give her the big ol' hug I've been saving up.
There were many others there. Vince estimated we had about 1,000 aggregate of bloggers and friends wandering through at various points, and my apologies if I overlooked anyone in this list.
I have to work part of the day before I can head to the convention center this evening. So speculate madly about what's going to happen, and let us know what your predictions are.
