WASHINGTON - John McCain said Democratic rival Barack Obama is bad for business in a speech to small business owners. McCain said Tuesday that Obama's policies would mean higher taxes and higher overhead costs. The Republican presidential nominee-in-waiting also criticized Obama for pledging to renegotiate the North American Free Trade Agreement.
McCain said small businesses make the economy run and that his Democratic rival would slow the creation of new jobs.
"You work hard in small businesses to grow and create new jobs and opportunities for others," McCain said. "The federal government shouldn't make your work any harder."
Fear and Blame that's it from McSame.
It isn't the job of the U.S. government to protect their business buddies.

Just for review, here is the governments job description.
" We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense,[1] promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America. "
Note* It seems that it is we the people that are the center of this job description. It doesn't say anything about businesses big or small. It is pretty clear that businesses are grandfathered into the job description "[1} promote the general Welfare" so long as they are run by and for the benefit of "The People. Multinational Corporations, outsourcing, off shoring don't even come close to being part of the Job description.
OK I think that's enough on the job description for now.
Next stop Taxes.
No matter who gets elected in November taxes are going up.
The important question is did the right taxes get raised?
If Senator Obama is elected obvious candidates for tax reform are:
Repealing the absurd tax giveaways for the rich that has been the corner stone of the bush years.
Raising the contribution limit on Social Security to $200,000.
Raising Medicare payroll contributions. We don't know what kind of Universal Health care system we are headed for, but we know it won't be free.
If Senator McSame is elected we can expect more regressive taxes which will finish the job of wiping out the middle class. More tax cuts for Haliburton, Exxon Mobil, Blackwater and the completion of the sale of our country to the "Sovereign Wealth Funds"
My message to small business: Beware a deal with the devil. It is not going to work out in your favor. If you are a local merchant, you have the best opportunity to succeed of any business in the U.S. Get these facts through your head I will not be outsourcing my dry cleaning to India. If your costs go up I expect you to pass those along to me your customer. Here is an important fact that Republicans don't want you to think about. No company every went out of business from paying taxes, and providing a quality service at a competitive price.
I will save the multinational mess for another day.
