In retrospect, it is a great shame that the groundbreaking naute of Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign did not receive more attention. Many voters (like myself) were more focused on her non-apology for her war vote, and her hiring of corporate functionaries like Mark Penn. Take away either one of those, to say nothing of both, and I can see myself as a Hillary supporter during the primaries. As it was, I was most offended by any criticism of her that seemd based on mysoginy, not the issues. The record of such sexist attacks, as we well know, predates even former President Clinton's first primary win in 1992.
There should be no room for such garbage in the Democratic Party, period. Yet, here it is....

At first, there was no telling whether the slur was directed at Deborah Honeycutt, the Republican candidate, or Scott's progressive Democratic challenger Donzella James. Peach Pundit now has confirmation from Maynard Eaton, a writer for Atlanta Voice (the story is now on Peach Pundit's front page, www.peachpundit.com), that Scott used the 'b' word in reference to Honeycutt. Using that slur against a Republican is no better than using it against a Democrat! We can run against Honeycutt, Northup, Susan Collins, or any other conservative Republican woman by highlighting their records and the flaws in their arguments.
That is exactly what Donzella James is prepared to do as the Democratic nominee in Georgia's 13th Congressional District. David Scott can not be trusted to represent anyone, not a district, not a state, not a party. Donzella will offer principled, progressive leadership, and bring a much-needed female perspective to Georgia's currently all-male delegation. Let's make it happen!
