I had known about the Larry Sinclair issue for a while and clearly this man needs some help however, it was disheartening to find members of the National Press Club could think so little of the important and essential role they play in our democracy. Have we blamed, shamed, and beaten up on our press such as to cause them some sort of a journalistic selfesteem issue? Something to think about,,,, if you have the time.....
NOT!!!!
Dear Members of The National Press Club,
My Name is Aracelis Jackson. I am writing to request you rescind the invitation given to Larry Sinclair to appear before you on June 18. Given the lack of evidence and that the accuser was been paid to take lie detector test, (witch he failed), this tabloid article does just does not rise to the level of My Nation’s National Press Club.
We have so many pressing issues. My six-year-old nephew Nicky will not have medical insurance as of July, even though the kidney transplant he received three years ago is failing and is at this moment, in the pediatric intensive care unit of Hasbro Hospital in Providence. This is a very personal situation my family is dealing with; there are stories like this all around this country.
I would like more coverage of our soldiers and there families. I want to hear and see them. I want to know what they need, what they do not need, there likes and dislikes.
"We The People" would greatly benefit from your journalistic integrity when it comes to these human stories.
I hope I am not am not quoting the wrong fore father here but I think it was Thomas Jefferson that said, "A healthy democracy depends on a well informed electorate"
I am confident that you, The Members Of The National Press Club will elect to maintain journalistic integrity and resist the tabloid. This will send a clear message to all those engage in pushing this garbage, (who will turn around and blame you for it a minute later); that the Journalist are back baby!!!
Thank you, Sincerely;
Aracelis Jackson
