In a complete suprise, the water levels at the Coralville Res on the Iowa River north of Iowa City are starting to stay level, and may be falling!
This is no snark
I know this is a short diary, but this is fantastic news. This means that the river in Iowa City may crest 2 feet lower than expected, and soon, instead of Tuesday.
While there is some water in some buildings, this early should really help with some of the damage.
Update: The Iowa City city manager (1st month on the job, what a challenge to start with.) states the Burlington St bridge (last one open) should stay open through the weekend.
