Ours is a community divided. The Great Orange Satan himself and various other front pagers, such as Kagro X, entitle their postings using the sentence case convention, that is, they capitalize their titles as if they were sentences. Others, such as openthread, mcjoan, Hunter, DarkSyde, DemFromCT and SusanG, use the title case convention in which all "important" words are capitalized. Still others (brownsox, I'm looking at you) allow some hidden variable to dictate the style.
Full disclosure: I'm a true believer in the sentence case style. A good summary of the reasons is found at wikipedia, about halfway down the page. I won't go over the argument here. Suffice it to say it is irrefutable.
That said, this division is, in the scheme of things, quite small. However, we have all seen in recent months how seemingly small differences can fester and grow into full blown division. It would serve no good if, for example, the sentence case people were to brand the dinosaurs following the New York Times style capitalist pigs and the title case people were to respond by saying that title case is as American as apple pie and the Oxford comma, and if the whole thing led to acrimony and boycotts.
So, though I do believe sentence case is the future, my goal is not to impose conformity. I do, however, want to raise the following question: If some sly canine gets past the Secret Service and does what we, our Congress and the World could not, that is, drench our Commander in Chief with a pyrite shower, will DailyKos stylists be ready?
