The conversation I just had with Sestak's staffer over the phone:
"Hi, I want to leave this message for Cong. Sestak, and then when we are done speaking I will ask you to remove me from your mailing list.

A great man once said:
"Benjamin Franklin said, be concerned that those who give up...liberty in the name security, deserve neither liberty or security. This is a time that I strongly believe, we should have stood up and said no. Attorney General Gonzales, we’re not going to let you decide the guidelines upon which you’ll listen in on Americans."
That was my congressman, Sestak just last year.
I have called in on this issue numerous times as I am sure your database tells you. Each time I called I got a nice letter from Sestak assuring me he would stand strong on this issue. With these assurances I continued to offer my support to his campaign.
- Staffer thanks me for my support
But today you compromised. You compromised the Constitution of the United States. I am watching Republicans in the media tell me how they are amazed at how much we gave them. Wiretapping without a warrant is illegal. There is no argument on this point. George Bush is breaking the law. Congressman Sestak has just helped to create a dangerous precedent where a sitting president can ask companies to break the law.
The telecoms have violated the law and the constitution. The telecoms are desperate for immunity even as they claim in the same breath they never broke the law.
I want you to let the congressman know that he will not have my support in his next election cycle. Further more I will be doing everything I can to find a progressive Democrat who will take his oath to the Constitution seriously.
- Staffer chimes in that he understands. He sounds like he agrees with me. The staffer then asked if I had anything more to say. He sounded a bit depressed. I said no, that I had many more items on a list in front of me but I would spare him because I am sure they are taking a lot of angry calls right now. He assured me they were hearing about this a LOT.
I had him take me off the mailing list.
I told him if Sestak would grow a pair I might come back. Then hung up.
Call Sestak if you live in his district:

What did you tell your Congressman?
