By an 80-15 vote, the Senate turned back a last-ditch effort to kill the bill, setting up a vote to approve the measure on Thursday. The House passed the bill last week, and the Senate was expected to send it to President Bush for his signature.
This just broke qbout 10 minutes ago. Does this mean they voted for cloture and only 15 dems voted against it. The article isn't big on details of how or when this was done.
I know it's a short diary but I thought you all would want to know. If anyone has details about what happened please post them in the comments. i will try to update for as long as i can but i'm on east coast time.
