I am pretty certain that either I'm completely starting to lose it, or that I am in desperate need of a reality check by my fellow Kossacks. Now, didn't Charlie Black get into some pretty serious hot water last week for inferring that it would be a 'good thing' for McCain if there were to be a terrorist attack on the United States prior to the election? Yeah, I think this 'misstatement' was all over the news, and as I recall, there was a formal apology from Charlie Black regarding his statement. I even recall watching Keith Olbermann talking about the fact that this continual fear mongering was now becoming a pattern by members of the McCain campaign and of course, the Republican party in general. So regardless of Charlie Black's mea culpa....
Our own very best favorite "Eddie Haskell suck-up" fake Democrat is now predicting (as if he were some kind of psychic-terrorist sorcerer) that it is likely that the United States will be attacked in 2009. Wow, how specific is that? This is getting to be what I would call very sick, and more than just a pattern. It's almost as if Lieberman is wishing such a thing would occur. His man-crush on McCain is getting worse by the day.
CBS) In describing the reasons he believes the Republicans' presumptive nominee for president would be better prepared than the Democrats' to lead the nation next January, Sen. Joe Lieberman said that history shows the United States would likely face a terrorist attack in 2009.
So, Joe wants us all to be very clear that if we elect Obama instead of his pal, McCain we will probably fall into the hands of the Taliban and most of the American women will be wearing bee-keepers outfits before you can say zippy-do-dah, zippidy aye. But of course Joe makes a point that he's not exactly saying the same thing as Charlie Black.
Lieberman nonetheless distanced himself from remarks by McCain chief strategist Charlie Black, who came under criticism for suggesting in an interview that McCain's election chances would be improved if a terrorist attack occurred before November.
"Sometimes even the best of them say things that are not what they intended to say," Lieberman said. "Certainly the implications there I know were not what Charlie intended. And he apologized for it. Senator McCain said he didn't agree. And, of course, I feel the same way.
Of course you do Joe, now more about that attack on 2009. Do you have a date? Should we start our Christmas shopping early that year? How about time of year...will it be in the Spring, the Fall...come on Joe, throw us a bone here.
But what a minute Joe, why would they want to attack us if the Surge is working? I mean, things are good over there now, right?
"It's now working," Lieberman told Schieffer. "If we had done what Senator Obama asked us to do for the last couple of years, today Iran and al Qaeda would be in control of Iraq. It would be a terrible defeat for us and our allies in the Middle East and throughout the world. Instead, we've got a country that's defending itself, that's growing economically, where there's been genuine political reconciliation, and where Iran and al Qaeda are on the run. And that's the way it ought to be."
So, I just wanted to be clear about all of these, you know, confusing little things that are going on with Mr. Lieberman and Mr. Black. Is it me folks, or is there a pattern here? You see, I may be losing it, and not even realizing the huge differences between what all the other 'disgraceful fear mongering' is taking place and what our own, good old Joe is talking about. Maybe you all can help me out here.
As Mc Cain says, thank you my friends.....
